Android [solved]Movie stops after 20-40 min
#1
Hi,

I have sideloaded XBMC on my FireTV and tried to watch some MKV Movies from my NAS...
With every Movie after somewhere from 20-40 min xbmc kicks back to XBMC UI and when I try to start the movie again, it says "resume on e.g. 38min" but then I get the donut indicating working but nothing happens anymore.
When I try to start this movie from the beginning it works imediatly.
when I try to play different movie it works as well.
But this movie is not playable further this position.
Any Ideas out there?

best regards,
bigcheese

Can you get us a debug log (wiki) of when this happens?

Reproduced: (with gotham 13.2) - after this the UI is not responding anymore, just cycling donut but i hear the sounds when pressing up or down on the remote, but no UI changes - have to force stop xbmc then...
Movie is "walking tall"

I'm guessing it's the buggy AFP client we use. Sadly, there are no bug fixes anymore for that AFP client and it isn't maintained anymore, and we haven't found any other open source alternative. If you can, try using another protocol such as NFS or SMB.
