Xbmc timing out when scanning media library (dlna)
#1
I am running Gotham on a minix neo x7. I am using xbmc to play media across my network from my NAS. I have my video files organized into folders. My largest folder consisting of 400+ movies.

when clicking on this folder xbmc just says "working" and never opens the folder. It's like it times out. Xbmc has no issues with other folders of maybe 200 files or less.

Other video players don't have problems accessing the 400 plus video folder.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I don't really want to break up the folder.

Thanks!

Also, why dlna?

Thanks for the reply. Oddly enough I turned on debugging and went to try and access the large folder again and this time it worked! No clue why but can't get it to fail now. I'll monitor and post back with any issues.

Thanks again for the reply.

maybe it needed time to initially cache the contents?

My movies folder has over 1800 movies in it, and it takes several seconds to start to display the posters, but it works pretty fast.

I use ifs as the file system on my shares, not via dlna though
