OS X search box always visible during play
#1
Hello

I have the search box (the one that normally displays only when going fwd and back and then usually disappears) that is constantly visible during playtime.

Normally it should disappear in a matter of seconds but for me it stays forever and it's kind of ruining the movie experience...

Anyone has an idea how to solve this?

Thanks

I use latest xbmc 13.2 on a mac mini late 2012 (core i5 with 4GB RAM). It runs OSX 10.8.5

No worries. Can you try getting the debug log again though with debugging turned on? XBMC -> Settings -> System -> Debug log

That way it will record any input devices that might be causing that to pop up.

Sorry mate - please do a new debug.log

Enable debugging in system->system->debug log as done before

1. exit XBMC/Kodi
2. Start XBMC/Kodi - wait for it to settle without pressing any key (maybe 2 minutes).
3. Navigate to your test movie with as few as possible key clicks
4. Start playback and let it run a while (verify that your issue really happens this time)
5. Stop playback
6. Upload the log file

The log you posted is really crowded and its hard to see what you did there - alot of keypresses (looks like you navigated around in the filemanager or so) and it looks like you didn't even start a movie at all.

Ok it has been solved by deleting XBMC folder. Dunno if you think it's worth it so see where it comes from.

Weird. At a quick glance it didn't seem like anything was causing some kind of "phantom" input, which is what I would think would cause that box to show. I wonder what could have caused it. Good to hear it's not hardware related, I guess :)

This happens to me when recharging my PS3 controller, unplug it and it goes.

Yes, I am definitely a moron, since I thought about this ps3 controller for months...
It's really stupid from sony that the ps3 cannot charge the controller if shut down, which makes me want to charge it elsewhere...
So thanks very much Smile
