I have recently experienced multiple crashes of Helix Beta 2: 14.0-BETA2 Git:3d9dbc2 (updated from XBMCBuntu 13.2 Gotham.)
The crashes occur even when the system is idle. I don't believe it to be related to memory, or CPU temperature or load.

That's caused by an addon. Remove all of them and install them one by one to find out which is doing that.
