i have narrowed this down a bit. it only goes painfully slow when xbmc's resolution is at 1080i. probably has to do with the rendering engine for the text of the rss feed.

1080i is a hell of stretch for the xbox. try your gui setting (appearance) at 720p and if you really want have your videos (my video) set to play at 1080i. should take care of most of the slowdowns.

increase speed whould be great. if not possible it could mix the top news of selected feeds.
example 3 feeds configured (a, b, c) and it shows in that order:
1-a, 1-b, 1-c, 2-a, 2-b, 2-c, 3-a...
why? because you can't add more than one feed without waiting half hour of old news of the first feed running until starts the second one.
