GUI adjustment
#1
Hi!

I have an idea for the screenadjustment and the rendering process of the gui.

At the moment it seems to only affect the graphics-positions and -sizes if you change the topleft and bottomright corners in the screenadjustment window but not the size of the fonts. so there is such an error at the moment:

(overscan settings: (0,0)(0,0): visible spacing between font and sourrounding box)
Image

(overscan settings: (34,10)(44,4): no spacing between font and box)

How about first rendering everithing to a texture and then only resize this texture to the needed values? This way the fonts would be resized also and the skins would look like their authors wanted them to look!

I hope you can understand what i wrote.

Fonts don't scale nicely - it looks really quite bad.

OK!

But how about allowing a maximum width to the labels and buttons etc. so that the rest of the text, if it is longer than the maximum width, is hidden or replaced by "..."?

That is, ofcourse, available to skinners. There's an Mc360 forum over on xbox-scene if you want to take it further.
