Downgrade from Helix to Gotham
#1
I want to go back to Gotham due to my Harmony One (extreme lagging, sticky keys, ect) and VFD/ImonOnXBMC (keeps crashing) not working as it used to in Gotham Sad

I've got a centralized MySQL database on my media server.

Would I successfully downgrade if I uninstall Helix, install Gotham and I rename the tables as follow:
- VideoDatabase90 -> VideoDatabase78
- MusicDatabase48 -> MusicDatabase46
Kodi Databases/Versions

As a last resort, I can export and import my library, but I takes about 16hours to get to 81% and thereafter hours per percentile Sleepy

Thanks!

You may find you have the original databases from gotham still on the mysql database, so nothing to copy/change.

I'd not recommend you just rename the databases, as the schema is different between gotham and helix.

All that'll be missing are any updates/new things since you tried helix.

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, I should have added that I dropped the original databases. This was due to (most probably something stupid I did) my HTPC not being able to play most of the TV series (could not find it), but movies had no problem and everything worked on the media server. As one would expect, even after an export and import the problem remained.

So I decided to do a clean install for Kodi, re-scraped everything and manually marked everything that was watched. I don't want to do this whole process again...

Thus a library export and import to XBMC?

Post some information. A log. You want stuff fixed provide something for the devs to work on if there is in fact an issue.

I had issues with my harmony as well and it required a firmware update to my flirc.TV receiver.
