skript to unbind multimedia keys on Ubuntu Unity
#1
Hi,

as already discussed in this thread, Kodi doesn't catch multimedia keys before the windowmanager does. It is therefore necessary to unbind/unmap these keys from the windowmanager's shortcuts to make them available to Kodi again.

Is there a script available to unbind all multimedia keys easily in one go without the need to go through the Unity settings?

Thanks.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Keybindings <- see here - it seems you can use gsetting to change that.

Btw. if you don't need your window manager, just logout and start kodi directly.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
