Linux Kodibuntu & ffmpeg from console - not found...
#1
Hi, I am new in this forum, and I am new to kodibuntu, which I installed just some days ago, replacing debian 7.6 in order to have more updated version of XBMC now Kodi

I like a lot the optimization of kodibuntu, but I need to use ffmpeg from console for converting some movies in Chromecast supported formats (h264 in mp4 container)

But I don't find any version of ffmpeg from console, and I don't find ffmpeg in available packages.
But I read that Kodibuntu uses last version of ffmpeg...

So, where is the error? Confused

Thanks a lot in advance

there is no error, we just don't build and include the ffmpeg (commandline) binary, we only need the libraries.

If you can live with libav for movie conversion, install that instead. Or build ffmpeg from our sources.
