I'm trying to install Kodi on my Windows 2008 R2 server and get an error :the program canot start file missing : api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll

can someone point me to a ow to for windows 2008 ?

What type of 2008 R2 are you running? Full UI or Core?
If you installed Core, it doesn't have any multimedia capabilities which the full UI does have.

I installed Isengard Beta 1 last night on a 2012 R2 Standard with Minimal UI, and that went fine.
Got some other issues, but that is perhaps Beta related.
