I've been away from XBMC/Kodi for some time. My last experience was with XBMC on an XBox! So I'm on a steep learning curve. Really impressed by all the advances with Kodi; it's a tremendous piece of work.

Just been trying to get 2.7.1 iPlayer addin working with a clean Kodi Helix 14.2 installation running on Windows 8. Live streams (Radio and TV) work fine but I don't seem to be able get updated listings of content - just a list of content which loads when the addin installs.

The problem seems the same as noted here ..

I've installed 2.7.1 on several installations with different configurations but all on Kodi 14.0 or 14.1
The live streams seem to work most of the time (subject to network loading ...), but catchup for radio seems to give odd results.
Trying radio 4x, I note that I get a list of programmes, which might be playable, but the list always seems to be the same, and has not recent items on it. I've been in the habit of using this to get episodes of various serials which are currently being repeated from some years ago. I can get to these on a desktop PC through iPlayer - so they are there somewhere.

When I try and get a Channel by Date Listing I get an Script Failed error message.

I've checked for obvious firewall/clock time errors but can't find an obvious fault. Debug log is here: http://pastebin.com/B9etTAJW

Would welcome some ideas about other things to try and fix. It's probably something obvious I've missed. I'm a bit new to this so apologies if this is something that's already been dealt with.

There is no need to use the google drive link - it is in the official repositories.

the channel by date is currently broken. I've not had time to look into it yet.

Good spot - I was having the same problem too, could watch live but not catchup. Running on Ubuntu 14.04, did sudo apt-get install librtmp1 and all is well.

Exobuzz ! Can you look at the separate cbbc iplayer ----->http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/cbbc. Seems to have more shows/ epiosdes .. could this be incorporated into the addon or will it require new & separate addon ?

Anyone having issues accessing any iPlayer content from abroad?

I've tried in FF, Chrome and OpenElec Kodi.

My proxy is working fine but now iPlayer seems broken with the following error...

Yes, I'm having problems using it from abroad.

I'm using Unlocator DNS redirector (similar to Unblockus, Unotelly, etc), and I can access all the catch-up streams on iPlayer, just not the live channels.

When I access via Unlocator on my iPad I can access the live channels fine, so I don't think it's a geo issue.

I'm using scothosts - and def not working using foxyproxy. I'll try the others.

Has BBC iPlayer changed something perhaps?

tried unotelly dns using bbc iplayer from xunity and it works use this version it fails so i guess there may have been changes thanks awaiting a fix patiently i love this version

Quick update go into iplayer settings and set akamai as the prefered then it seems to be working for me atleast
