I've been reading the software reference for the Focus FS454 in an attempt to change the refresh rate of the 1080i HD mode to 50hz. I've noticed that XBMC has settings to change the flicker filter which is one of the settings on this chip but this is done via SetFlickerFilter. I don't have the XDK, so could someone tell me if it is possible to modify the pixel clock or change the registers directly in an XBE?

SetFlickerFilter is part of the exposed D3DDevice API. I don't believe you can change the refreshrate using the exposed API. Whether or not you can do it through other means I have no idea.

Try using linux on xbox to get 1080i in 50Hz for a start.
