Trying to activate a new window
#1
Hey guys I added a new button to my Home screen called My TV. I am wanting to have this pull up a window called custom1050.xml. Its exactly the same as myvideo.xml but I changed the ID to 1050. I am wanting a new window other then myvideo.xml so that I can make default my tv section on my harddrive and not have it changed on myvideo.xml. (Because myvideo.xml has a default pointed to my dvd section on my harddrive)

Any help on this would be great thanks guys!

essentially, you're going about what you are doing all wrong.
the contents of the sections are hard-coded into XBMC itself, as are the IDs that correspond to each. As a result, you can't make a new window that has the functionality of My Videos, and this is totally unncessary.
just make your new button open the bookmark you want to see.

see XBMC.ActivateWindow(window,dir) specifically.
Yours would look like XBMC.ActivateWindow(MyVideos,TV), where "TV" is the name of the bookmark you are opening. You can obviously use whatever text you want for the bookmark's name...
