Need s solution for this weekend.
I have 4 pieces of hardware to play with
1 raspberry pi (using openelec)
1 android box
1 pc with openelec
1 pc with windows and xbmc

How this is going to be connected is xbmc to amp, amp to vga projector.

I have seen hdmi to vga adapters and am wondering if it would work?

Yes. Something like this should work on a Pi (and likely other devices).

I don't know the brand name. Family is getting together this weekend to watch a movie.

Wonder if a xbox one would work as well?

And the PCs don't have VGA ports?

Whenever I did that, I always used my laptop's VGA port for this reason. Then I got a projector with HDMI, and I'm much happier with it.

Not the ones I have nuc units.
We got it figured out. Next year I will invest into a hdmi projector.
