Well, my opinion is that there is enough confusion for nonprofessional users about color spaces. Many assumes YCbCr 4:4:4=RGB which is a big mistake, so adding RGB 4:4:4 makes more confusion.
So for average Joe like me: RGB=computer monitor/PC mode, YCbCr: video format/TV. HDMI/Rec.709 and Rec.2020 supports both color spaces.
I was curious about RGB 4:4:4 and I saw this specs
So, a current professional board specifies pixel transfer formats, which doesn't mean anything for me but I doubt that for a professional these are useless specs.
Moving ontopic, it will be interesting to see how good will be these DP-HDMI 2.0 converters. As this conversion isn't a trivial task, I expect many bugs/headeaches at start, unlike DP-HDMI 1.4. Which is a pity, someone definitelly doesn't want interoperability and made it happens...
