Hi There,

Long time XBMC/Kodi user, love your work.

So recently I made a hardware change which forced me to get ubuntu 15.04, upgrade kernel and then download Kodi onto that. Now, everything works perfectly EXCEPT my HP media remote. The arrow buttons work but thats about it, meaning I cant open menus or play/pause items etc.

SO i'm wondering what you guys have in the Kodibuntu package that I could possible implement into my Kodi for Ubuntu

Could it be this?
If your MCE compatible remote stopped working in Ubuntu 14.04 or another newer release of Linux, check for this weird problem!

So i derped pretty hard.
Your link wasn't the issue, but it helped me solve it. Turns out i didn't have lirc installed, so I did a basic install with a generic windows media remote template and it all works fine now.
