There's a branch for the development of it in SVN.

I have done some tests yesterday on RC1 version and Gemini 3.20 dreambox image. It works stable and without hangups (at least for me). Thing that I have found as a problem is that very slow parsing of XMLs with channel data.
Think that good idea will be to store this localy (on xbox hard drive, as link files) and just have option to update full list. Because changeing channels takes a lot of time. Also list should not be sorted at all (bouqets and channels) because people mostly organize it by some other mean. Think making some caching mechanisam should help very very much. |

@mmicko, I've had the same idea. Don't forget you can que the channels into a playlist and use the playlist instead. It would be handy though to add a manual sorting function for the playlist next to the standard sort modes. It beats editing the .m3u in notepad

you can manually re-order playlists when using the now playing window. this is the only time that the playlist is memory resident (as a playlist). of course you need to save the reordered playlist.
when "browsing", you're only seeing the contents of the playlist because xbmc is treating the playlist as a folder. its not really a playlist. if you disable that option thru advancedsettings, when you select a playlist, it'll be automatically loaded into the now playing window as a playlist. Hello,
on the newest build (rc1b) I don't can stream anymore.... Haven't posted the whole log, because I think I have located the error.... Maybe this is the reason: Code: 18:33:16 M: 36143104 DEBUG: FileCurl::Close(D00E6C74) http://root:dreambox@192.168.1.2/xml/boxinfoThere is a empty left field in the apid & vpid parameters parsed to box think... Maybe this is the error? I'm using dm7020 with gm3.30... With earlier builds I had epg issues (talked about that in irc), but I could stream at least ... maybe you will look into it, GeminiServer Best regards lolol |
