I have two Infinity4 tuner cards in my MCE box for a total of 8 tuners. Recently i have encountered an issue where if i have ServerWMC running, i receive a No Signal Found on Channel 123 error when trying to record a show. And i get this error four times. After the four errors, the show starts recording. It gets really weird whenever i have more than one show that start recording at the same time. Before i realized it might be ServerWMC causing the issue, i went through the standard Ceton diagnositics and even reran the TV Setup in WMC again and everything checked out. But the issue still happened. It wasn't until i exited ServerWMC and tried recording shows that the problem ceased.
I have been using ServerWMC for a while and don't recall this issue until within the past couple of weeks. I have auto update turned on in ServerWMC, so maybe something got released that might have caused it.
Any ideas?

So it is wmc that is reporting 'No Signal Found' correct? And you are saying that the recording will work every time, but if you just start up serverwmc then you get a No Signal Found? If so that's really strange.
edit:
After starting serverwmc, please post your serverwmc log to pastebin.com and put a link to it here.

The log is clean, I was thinking it might show some kind of tuner error during the initial tuner query.
When you say "WMC attempts to record a show", how are you starting the recording? Are you telling wmc to start recording something that is on now, or is the problem just that if wmc is open whenever a recording starts you see this no-signal dialog?
Also does the recording still go off okay? Or does it fail sometimes or start late? If you just let the 'no signal' dialog just stay there, does the recording still start?

These are scheduled recordings. A few weeks ago, I had started noticing recorded shows starting late or totally missed in Kodi. I went to my WMC box and noticed the No Signal Error messages. So that's when i started running my tests to see what was going on. I would schedule a program that was about to start, and two minutes before the recording was about to start, i would get a message. I would cancel that message and another one would pop up in a few seconds, then again and again. After the fourth message, it would start recording. And it would record fine until it ended. If i wasn't there monitoring it, sometime it would record and sometimes it wouldn't.

And you know that just starting swmc and having it just sit there idle, causes this to happen? Or do you do something with swmc first?

Well, during my testing (mostly today), i made sure no clients were accessing ServerWMC after i brought it up, I scheduled some recordings and i got the error when the recordings started. I would close ServerWMC and schedule some more recordings, and they started recording fine.

Well, i just got the errors to occur without ServerWMC running. I double checked Task Manager to make sure it wasn't stuck in memory. So it looks like it is probably something else. Thanks for looking into it.
