Playback 1080p60 - No go on rpi2?
#1
Hi guys.
I recently purchased a GoPro 4 Silver to record some motorcycle footage and stuff. Loving that little camera, and of course I wanted to watch some of the footage on the big screen at home.
Unfortunately when starting a video from my NAS the video plays for about 2 seconds, then freezes.

All other video plays just fine, it's just my gopro stuff which is shot in 1080p @ 60fps.
Is the rpi2 not strong enough for 60fps or have I missed a setting somewhere?

The pi is cabled, not using wifi Smile

Running openelec beta 5.

If a log is needed I'll try posting one later, I'm at work right now.

Yes, debug log (wiki) may help. A sample file would also be useful.

Yep. Rpi2 is weak for 1080/60. Plays fine little less, For example 1920x800/60fps.

1080p60 plays fine with recent builds.
E.g. try the 60fps Big Buck Bunny with an Isengard/nightly build.

Yes, you're right. Sorry, long time not tried. Great job!

Sounds awesome, looking forward to stable releases with that improvement included! Big Grin

if it's related to the videoplayer refactoring which is part of the Milhouse nightly builds, then you'll have to wait for Kodi 17 as the upcoming v16 won't have these changes in as they are still WIP - so something like 6-8 months. Kodi 16 however should be release end of year if things go well.

No, it doesn't depend on that. Any Isengard builds should be okay.
