[Android] Interlaced videos are not detected as such
#1
I've asked about this on the de-interlace thread on Android development sub-forum, but haven't seen any info. I've noticed that a few other people have a similar issue to this, so thought I'd ask for help here.

I have a Nexus Player running Marshmallow and Kodo 15.2. It all works amazingly well, but one issue I have is that, when I set video to auto de-interlace, it does not do this for live TV. Everything looks horrible and juddery. If I switch to de-interlace 'ON', it works perfectly, but the problem is that non-interlaced video looks a bit funky. When I run OpenELEC 6 on my Rpi2, it all works perfectly.

So my question is this, is there something I can do to help the detection process? This is the only issue I have with this set up. Everything else is perfect.

Also, if anyone can suggest how I can tail the log file on Android, and whether that will give me any info, I can post the log here.

Thanks so much for looking into this.
