Add a DIM light % to the DIM LCD Function, like how you can change the brightness of the LCD in the LCD area settings. Could you add a similar type of option to the DIM functionality, so instead of when it dims the lCD (IE-right now, it turns the backlight completely off), this new option would allow you to DIM the display to say 20% brightness, which to me would be more like the way DIM SHOULD work. So in a dark room, after it DIMS, you would would still be able to kind of see the text, but wouldn't be producing the luminousity it normally does.
