crap.. well i've fixed the tuning issue, could be good to check that code you write actually does what you think before assuming it so Smile

I assume you had tuned your hdhomrun before you browsed to it?

Yeah it was tuned. I just double-checked. It's tuned to qam:107 ch 3 and streams fine to vlc on my desktop here. This stream, incidently, freezes when I try to start the 'Current' stream through xbmc.

elupus, I noticed that spiff had recently made a change to the midi playback libraries and provided the updated .dll. Would any changes you make be testable for us through a new hdhomerun.dll file or will we have to wait for the next complete build ?

You'll have to wait for now sadly. Thou the start of streaming hasn't been done anything to correct thou..

Did xbmc freeze in that last log you provided? if not could you get me alog where it does?

xbmc doesn't freeze, it just doesn't do anything.

The only thing that froze was the stream that was being played through vlc on my desktop. This is unrelated, however, as xbmc behaves the same way regardless of what else is or isn't connected to the HDHomeRun.

ah.. vlc will freeze as the hdhomerun is asked to start streaming to another ip address. xbox has no support for multicast addresses sadly, so that will probably always be an issue.

anyway, good news. i've two bugs which both totally broke hdhomrun streaming :/. so next version of xbmc should hopefully work (holding my thumbs). it's not in the dll, it was in xbmc so you'll either have to compile yourself or wait for a new build to show up.

Multicast support would be something that has to be added on the kernel level, I assume ?

According to the changelog, this build was compiled after SNV change 8685 on April 28th, so the changes *should* have been incorporated Sad

that was compiled from the linksbrowser branch wich was branched of the 22nd, thus it does not contain the changes.

For some reason this build does not allow me to get a debug log, so I hadn't been able to provide any more information.
