So we've gotten a lot further: It now tunes the HDHR. Playback is useless though, as it does 0.1 fps at best.

elupus, let me know if you want a full copy of the debug log. I tried including the essentials. The log for the session is around 70kB.

try two things.. firstly don't enable debug log (ts files have a tendenecy to log a silly amount of data).

secondly give dvdplayer a go and see how that fairs.

sandman you seem to be getting further than i am getting, here is what i am doing,
In the media tab, under video
i have smb, replytv, video etc etc... i put the cursor on video select the white button and select edit, what I do after that is i add the following path:
hdhomerun://deviceid/tuner0?channel=qam:90&program=5, where 90 is the physical channel and 5 is the program, using this i still get Current stream N/A

oh btw when you ar eon the stream select the white button and it will ask you to play with a certain player, you can select dvdplayer from here i believe

That's what I tried first, but for some reason the white button now brings up a completely different submenu

In older builds, I get a submenu where I can choose mplayer, DVDPlayer, or PAPlayer.

inn0c3nt, I haven't tried adding them that way. Try creating a .strm file somewhere and put one line in it:

hdhomerun://deviceid/tuner0?channel=qam:90&program=5

And then play that file from the Videos selection. I'm not saying that will work for you, but it should get you to where I am at least :-)

It's because it's treating the playlist as a folder.

Turn off playlistsasfolders via advancedsettings.xml

Is there anything I can do to force dvdplayer as the default player in order to try to play the stream ? It'd be a shame if progress on the HDHR support will be halted due to this other bug...
