I use MediaPortal's TV Server as a backend, with the PVR addon in each Kodi client.

There doesn't seem any point in saving the EPG to the Kodi DB on each client and actually it seems to slow down application startup.

I thought there was an option called "do not cache data locally" but it doesn't seem to exist. Has it been removed in 15.2?

Where? Because it's not in my TV -> General or TV -> Guide settings.

In General I have:
-Enabled
-Synchronise channel groups with backend(s)
-Channel Manager
-Group Manager
-Search for channels
-Clear data
-Reset above settings to default

In Guide I have:
-Default select action
-Clear data
-Reset above settings to default

You have your settings level set to Advanced. Set it to Expert and you'll see that setting.

Thanks that worked, I didn't even see the option to change the level of detail in the settings!
