As I'm studying a foreign language I use kodi for watching foreign tv channels. Kodi seems to have upgraded and now when I play the tv streams, I only get sound with a black screen. If I go into the video settings and change the deinterlace video from auto to on, then I get the stream but only in black and white. I have no idea if this is due to a kodi or ubuntu upgrade. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I am running ubuntu 14.04 lts, 64 bit.
