Hey sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but wasn't sure where to put it. I wanted to know if eventually Kodi and all newer hardware ie Skylake Nucs will be able to support/dislpay (HDR) High Dynamic Range videos?

Skylake NUCs cannot even decode 10 bit content in hardware. Wait for the next generation.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
