I'm running Myth backend and Kodi for the PVR. I have Comcast as my service and some of their channels are horrible in how they are delivered. It seems like the original content is 16:9 but then Comcast transcodes it to a channel that's SD and 4:3. So then, you have a 16:9 show delivered in 4:3, resulting in about 4" square around the program.
I've tried to do the "Display 4:3 video as" zoom/wide zoom/etc and the "Allowed error in aspect ratio to minimize black bars" set to 20%, but it's still not great. The 4:3 video does nothing and the error in aspect ratio does blow it up a bit but there's still some gap.
Does anybody else know what I'm talking about, and have you looked at anything to get this resolved?
