I use Kodi from a Windows 10 PC connected to a home theatre receiver (HTR) and my living room television. I would like to wirelessly cast audio to secondary locations like my kitchen. Am I better to cast the audio from something connected to the PC, or is an HTR connected solution better? Is this a task for the audio version of Google Chromecast? The way I think I would do it from the HTR would be to use an FM transmitter and receiver, but perhaps there is a wi-fi solution I should consider? I think the distance might be too great for a Bluetooth solution. Also, my preference is to avoid something I would have to control from a tablet or mobile device -- I would like to walk into the kitchen, push a button and have the sound from Kodi.
I should mention that right now, I only have traditional audio hardware in the secondary locations. I will either have to buy wireless capable speakers or connect a wireless receiver of some sort.
