I was afraid of that as we are now dealing with graphic card issues.
You could try to lower your resolution but that may not even work.
Installing DirectX 11 was one thing but if your card doesn't speak it, you are doomed.

well that is unfortunate. I did get DX11 installed!!!
The bad news, when I start Kodi now I get an error "unable to create GUI. Exiting"

should I continue or stop while I still have part of my sanity?

Did you update the graphics card drivers?

Hello...I have had the same error message on my vista laptop too...plus I have the directX 11 already installed so looks like I cannot install Jarvis on my laptop now...so will need to go back to 15.2 Isengard again.
