4K HTPC - Resolution Issue
#1
I just built a 4K HTPC running Windows 10 x64, which is connected via HDMI to a new Denon 7.1 receiver, which is connected to a 4K LG brand TV.

With 4K resolution settings, all the icons and text on the screen are ridiculously small. I am currently using the scaling feature in Windows to increase the size of icons/text.

Apparently Kodi is affected by this scaling because I can only see one corner of the GUI. If I change the scaling back to 100%, my desktop goes back to micro-size but Kodi displays correctly.

How can I enjoy using Windows and Kodi in 4K resolution?

Have you tried windowed mode? Then go into settings and adjust the display size.

I have the same issue. Only I got a Pioneer receiver and a Vizio M series 4K TV my tv can do either 4096x2160p or 3840x2160p

Could some of the developers look at auto detecting windows scaling feature and stepping users through adapting the UI and resolution settings so *IT JUST WORKS* without expert level adjustments?
