haha! cool
Hi Dink,
I am just playing around with your plugin. It works great.
Thanks to johnsto for the initial plugin.

What quality does the plugin use to stream it? Is it possible to change it anywhere?

Or is the quality toggle between normal and high quality only on the flash plugin?

I'm afraid that XBMC doesn't support the high quality mode used by the IPlayer website. Once it does I will enable it in the plugin. The plugin does have a few settings that can be tweaked just bring up the context menu when listing tv channels or series.

Cheers

I appreciate this may be a tricky request due to meta data/timestamps etc...

Is it possible to code/stream this in such a manner that one can fast-forward and rewind?

It has been possible with lots of previous streaming plugins (although many have stoppped supporting this - possibly due to the change in hosting services meaning that the relevant coding hadn't been done for the new hosts....(used to be most anything that used veohproxy for instance could be fast-forwarded and rewound).

I'm afraid that this isn't possible at the moment as the transport protocol used (RTMP) is only partly implemented in XBMC. Nothing the plugin can do about it I'm afraid.

A little bit of background. The RTMP protocol is an undocumented protocol which explains why the XBMC implementation is only partial. Adobe have promised to publish the RTMP specification sometime soon which should improved things no end.

any idea when we will see the hq streams

the standard ones really blow on my big tv

No ETA available on that I'm afraid. Folk have looked into it but without the transport protocol (RTMP) documentation they are working in the dark.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but are there any plans to add the live BBC TV channels to the iPlayer plugin?
eg
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone/watchlive/

If XBMC supported it I would add it to the plugin.
