from what I know, libssh support in kodi is slow and not much used.
do you guys use ssh sources (sources -> network location -> ssh server), and if so, why do you use that instead of, for example, webserver directory / dav / davs sources ?

Thanks, I've been using sftp because so that it's not accessible to anyone on the same WiFi. Webdav and SSL might be an option to look into. Worst case, I could setup an autofs mount on the HTPC. So I'm not against removing it if it's less maintenance hassle.
