Alpha-numeric scrollbar for speed scrolling (0 to 9, A to Z index fast scroll)

It's because it displays the first letter of the sort order string. For playlists, you are generally sorted in playlist order, which is numeric. Many playlists aren't alphabetically ordered, so displaying a letter wouldn't work too well?
