v17 Krypton alpha - can't start app
#1
Hi,

I'm trying to test the v17 Krypton alpha, but Kodi.exe just doesn't start.

I get the message "The application couldn't start correctly (0xc0000022)".
Note: my windows system is in french, so I translated the above message. In english windows, the message may be different from my translation...

I'm on win 10 family x64

I tried:
- uninstall v16, and also the profile settings
- reboot of windows before v17 installation
but I still get the issue.

Latest v16 works like a charm.

Thanks!

That was rather complicated but now it works...

I had 2 files in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ which had no owner and thus no right at all Undecided

In case other people have the same issue:
- I couldn't fix directly the problem with the file explorer
- I had to use an admin cmd window and use these commands:
takeown /A /F <filename>
icacls <filename> /reset

Only then I could go to the file explorer, in the security tab, the press "continue" and be able to add rights (take another dll file in the directory as example for all the rights to be defined)
