SmallNetBuilder Review: How To Convert your Xbox into a Media Player with XBMC

Thumbs Up

Looks like he used the now old 2.0.1 point-release of XBMC instead of a latest (and greatest) SVN build of XBMC, also IMHO the article makes modding (and modchip installing) sound so much more complicated than it is, (I mean why did he not just use a non-solder modchip or alternativly got a used MechWarrior/SplinterCell/007 game of eBay for a softmod exploit install?, he could also have used an auto-installer CD for the very first installation to simplify things even further?).

...but good exposure for XBMC nontheless Big Grin

Here is one that's been sitting on my desk for a while (haven't seen it mentioned here)

Sad if people get the impression that this is all XBMC can do. The libraries are incredible and he didn't even manage to show covers.
XboxMediaCenter.com should have an up-to-date walk-through or something written by someone who knows XBMC in every aspect plus is good to write. Something which you could show to people to get excited

This is a good idea.

The framework could be started in the Wiki and we can see where it takes us.
