Hi all .... I have Kodi Jarvis installed and have a problem when downloading subtitles from subscene and OpenSubtitles.org I have added them and it brings up the list of subtitles to choose from however once I click on it, a message appears that tells me playback failed.
I have looked online for weeks for an answer and although I installed kodi and the addons myself I am not a techie so please bear with me! :-)
I will upload the log if this helps, I couldn't make any sense of it.
Thanks :-)
UPDATE: I cannot upload image I have no idea why. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have had this problem a while too. I think it will have something to do with kodi addons looking for subtitle file formats, but most (if not all) of the subtitles sites are now zipping their subtitles.
I'd like to know how to fix it myself, it's very annoying.
I suspect the way to correct it would be to add an extract cmd to the addons or to support the compression file formats being used.

I thought subscene doesn't have any API?
