[RELEASE] AMT Home Theater plugin - automatically play intro & trailers before movies

You know, you could also just make a playlist that includes some trailers and the movie. It wouldn't be as nifty a method, but it would certainly do the job.

ah, I believe it may have been merged into the Apple Movie Trailer plugin (or script), ...anyway, the code and function has not been abandoned by Nuka1195, it may just have been merged into a similar plugin/script

Hi, Would be awesome to have a plugin which will play an intro before all movies maybe even a trailer.

So plugin looks in dir and plays any files in that folder before a movie.

Have looked at ATM but its not really right for the job...

Yeah, that would be great, Put all the trailers in your trailer folder and play them before watching a movie. And you can set the number of trailers and everytime you start a movie some trailers are playing. And watched trailers are skipping. I had this in Meedios and I liked that very much. I Hope more people are interested in this so someone can make this plugin.

search for AMT home theater plugin. It does what you want sort of. You have to go thru the plug in to get it to work and load before the movie. You cant just load it frmo the movie library.

Also a work around is make a custom intro and then just drop it in the folder and name the files cd1 and cd2 so it plays it before. this would take some time to do however if you want it to work this might be the best way to do it (that I have found)

Hi I tested ATM out however could get it to play anything before movies even once access the script... Which isnt really what we are looking for.

I have made a few threads with this very same topic. Unfortunately, the community as a whole does not support this idea. I personally use my PC as a HTPC not a media center. Therefore the functionality is something i feel is lacking in XBMC. Although not necessary, I think it would be a welcomed feature to what is the best media center program available. I think it would broaden the spectrum and attract more peopel to the community.

Not AMT, the AMT Home Theatre Plugin, it plays trailers before the movie starts. If you're looking for something more perhaps you could be more descriptive?
