Kodi (both 16 and 17) Crashes On Splash Screen
#1
Upon launching Kodi Stable, Kodi Beta, or Kodi Windows Store on Windows 10, the Splash Screen shows for about 3 seconds, then the program crashes without ever launching.

I have tried updating my Graphics Drivers, Am running DirectX 12, and don't have any weird software that could conflict.

Where do I go from here, besides looking for an alternative software?

It appears that you have to be able to start Kodi to turn on Logging?

Not needed!

Follow instructions in 1.2 to enable logging even if kodi does not fully start: http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced#...ngs.xml.29

Thanks!

Here is the log file. I dont see any errors at all, oddly:

[See new one below]

To elaborate on what happens,I click kodi, the big splash screen appears for about 3 seconds, then IMMEDIATELY disappears leaving only the desktop.

Edit: Kodi does appear to work while the computer is in Safe Mode, pointing to some sort of driver issue. However, I'm running up-to-date drivers, and I've tried reinstalling them already.

Okay, just got off a 15 minute phone call with Asus's useless support, where they ran the most basic possible dianostic steps (EG Safe mode, reinstall driver, rollback driver), then said I can pay 300 bucks for a RMA, and then a longer phone call with Nvdia's much more useful support, who were able to say that they werent able to find any issues with the graphics card at all, and that they feel it must be an issue with Kodi or DirectX.

Any ideas as to what I can do next?

Edit: Okay, new log file, this time done right:

Since you have a Nvidia GTX970. This maybe your problem.
