MM100 and RTSP
#1
Thanks to elupus i now have the MM100 working with RTSP as well as UPNP.

What was a major problem was getting multiple streams from the same frontend, so now you can watch more that one stream at a time!!!!

Now I need to add in the PVR functions so we save the data to a remote machine, NFS/SMB etc.

How about having the ability to record it directly to the xbox maybe via ftp. for those who have large hd's in their xbox's it would be nice. Also what codec does this device use?

I think XBMC uses a small FTP-client library; cURL (libcurl) http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/
Quote:libcurl is a free and easy-to-use client-side URL transfer library, supporting FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, SCP, SFTP, TFTP, TELNET, DICT, LDAP, LDAPS and FILE. libcurl supports SSL certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication (Basic, Digest, NTLM, Negotiate, Kerberos4), file transfer resume, http proxy tunneling and and a busload of other useful tricks.

libcurl is highly portable, it builds and works identically on numerous platforms, including Solaris, NetBSD, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Darwin, HPUX, IRIX, AIX, Tru64, Linux, UnixWare, HURD, Windows, Amiga, OS/2, BeOs, Mac OS X, Ultrix, QNX, OpenVMS, RISC OS, Novell NetWare, DOS and more.

libcurl is free, thread-safe, IPv6 compatible, feature rich, well supported, fast, thoroughly documented and is already used by many known, big and successful companies and numerous applications.
