Playing Line-In (Turntable)
#1
Hello everyone,

I was browsing the forums for a way to play the windows Line-in input using kodi, allowing my turntable to be managed within kodi. I found an old thread on this (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?pid=...post879552) but couldn't find anything recent.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

I guess no one has given insight here yet. The real trick is the analog signal needs to be changed to digital, in the past I've digitized some of my old vinyl collection with free digitizing software hooked to my AMD digitizer and saved them for Kodi to play. Thinking back I suppose this could be automated, but for the few 'must haves', I didn't think it would be worth while to set up a batch file, but I suppose this could be handled in some sort of mutual folder dump as one of the Kodi sources.

I have no idea how to do this, but I would investigate using vlc for this. My idea is to set up vlc to capture using none for video and the line-in for audio. Then set up vlc as a streaming server that you could point kodi to usng an strm stream file
Code:
#EXTINF:0,VLC Stream
http://xxx.xxx.x.x:10803

Like I said, I have no experience in doing this but that's what I would investigate.
