Buffering issues
#1
Hello ladies and gents!

I'm trying to built a HTPC using Ubuntu with Kodi on top. My system is a SFF Dell Optiplex 980, 8gb RAM, with video card using Geforce GT610 with 2GB of memory from Zotac. The system is dedicated only to playback movies. It replaces a laptop I've successfully using so far and but I had to give it back since it was borrowed

No matter what I do, each time I playback a network movie it stops every 20-30 secs to buffer.I've tried Kodibuntu, Openelec, Ubuntu with Kodi, tried also some Fusion add-on to write advanced setting xml file for cache buffer size.

I've just finished (re)installing Ubuntu 14.05 x64 with Kodi on top. Well, that being said, the situation drives me nuts! I don't know waht to do! With the laptop was running just fine, the SFF is a nightmare Sad

Can any of you give me a hand on where to go from here to make it work?

Much appreciate it!
Dan

For fusion: http://kodi.wiki/view/Official:Forum_rul...ed_add-ons
For the rest: Please start here: Debug Log
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Hello,

Thanks for your clarification on Fusion.
In the mean time I've installed Kodi also on Windows 10 platform, still having the same issue... buffering Sad Since it is the same issue, I've taken the liberty to post the win log

here is the log I obtained running on windows:
