[RELEASE] Navi-X (Script) Media Browser

This is a common and well known bug only on the xbox.But it doesn't happen often.Restarting xbmc will do the trick.On xbox controller press l+r trigger+back+start button will restart xbmc.

This isn't on the Bug list strangely enough.
I make sure that the creator of navi-x and maker of the bug list will be known of this problem.Unfortunately I don't know when this bug will be fixed.I guess we all need to be patient.

I am new in this forum. I am using XBMC on Linux Ubuntu now I am trying to test some script.
I hope to give you some informations about navi-x on linux platform.

On SVN Repo Installer there is the 2.7 version this version copy some sub folder like "cache" on the script level i've copied on the right place and the script is quite good but you tube don't work.

I cleaned all and i installed the last 2.9.1 in the script folder. This version is good you tube is ok
I tried to install a new skin but don't go and I need to press esc to quit
is the same when I try to install the upgrade version
looking the log there are some folder error

You don't have to post a log.That was mentioned in the first post.
On the svn repo installer there is still an old version of navi-x.
Rodejo need to change this. I asked him weeks ago to update this but I will do this again.
Also the navi-x plugin and script are installed in the wrong direction.
So people for now don't use the svn repo installer for navi-x.

Were you trying to install an navi-x skin or an xbmc skin?
Tomorrow I will look into this problem.

Forgot to ask if you were using the latest stable xbmc version on linux.
That you couldn't install a skin on linux is enough information.
and next time when you post a log on the xbmc/forum

I receive the upgrades about 1 or 2 times in a week by synaptic.
My version now is the 9.04.02 svn 21923.

The latest revision (2.9.1) can be downloaded at http://code.google.com/p/navi-x/downloads/list. The navi-x.org website still points to an older version (2.9). This should do the trick.

I have installed Navi-X on my AppleTV 2.4. So far it works fine.
There is only the problem with the navigation into subfolder (menues). I could not find out, how I can go back one step. So far I only acces the main menue and start all over again.

Is there a manual how to navigate on AppleTV?

The ATV remote has a very limited selection of commands. The menu button does indeed take you out of the script (Standard, I believe, for exiting a script in XBMC). The left and right controls can be used to move back and forth from the left hand main menu and the right side of the screen. (Up and Down can of course be used within the windows) Still a bit frustrating since that means you will need to always go back to Home or Favorites to navigate to the desired Navi-Xtreme or Navi-X Network portal locations.

Press/hold menu does bring up the context menu on a selected item.

I personally use the iPhone XBMC Xmote app which connects to the web server. This allows full navigation (not just for Navi-X but also for the rest of the XBMC media server), like you would find on an Xbox. The "back" button allows backing out one level. I would assume you could get most of the same features with a harmony remote based on all the effort for XBMC by the developers/community.

I personally love this script. It has become almost an exclusive approach for internet media for me. Very clean design with a solid developer and very helpful community @ http://navix.turner3d.net/. It integrates well with the rest of XBMC.

There is no manual for this.The problem is reported to bug list of navi-x.However since the limit of buttons on the remote I don't know if this can be fixed.
I don't have a apple tv but what I understand of Boseman comments.You would be better of getting an universal remote anyway.I understand that appletv 2.3 and later versions work with practically any universal remote.I got myself an univeral remote for only 15 euro's that works with the xbox great

If you didn't do this already definitely in this case set up your favourites.
