Filter toggle and/or operators
#1
Hey everyone!
Here's something that's been bothering me for quite some time now.
When you filter your movie library you can filter by tags. Let's say you have the tags 'HD', 'uncut' and 'atmos'. So let's say I wanted to filter the library to only see uncut movies that also have an Atmos Soundtrack. The filtering as of now would display all 'uncut' movies AND all 'Atmos' movies, if I highlighted both tags in the filtering dialog. So now the filtering within the tag-subdialog uses an 'or'-operator (show movies that are tagged with 'uncut' or 'atmos'). Only one of the tags has to be true in order to list the movie. To get the results I intended to get, there should be a toggle to switch the operator to an 'and'-operator, so that it filters like that: "show movies that are tagged with 'uncut' AND 'atmos'". This way only if both tags are true, it'll list a movie.
I hope I was able to make clear what I mean. I hope I am not the only one thinking this would be a very much needed option.

Have a wonderful day

You can use smartplaylists for filtering that

But you can't really filter anything quickly "on the fly". Like it's a lot of configuring and clicking this and that and you have to name the playlist first and it'll be saved, which sometimes is a lot of a hassle just to quickly find something, or to get an overview of your library with a specific tag combination. You know what I mean?
I even think it would be more logical to have the 'and'-operator in the tag-filtering dialog as default. But a toggle would do the job, too.

if we start adding features to the filter dialog, then in the end it will end up just as complex as the smartplaylist one ;-)

Yeah, I understand that...
A toggle hidden in the system settings, maybe?
