Hello,
I am interested in extending the visualizations, new images and such.
Ex. New visualizations that can be themed to a skin.
How do I make these .vis files I see, that is a great place for me to start learning this.
Thanks for your help.

You does not need source code in order to make presets for our Vortex visualisation, see:
http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/?tit...evelopment also see these two topics that are stickys in this forum: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=22415 and: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=22365 They work similar to that of Milkdrop presets but are more flexible if I understand correct

Glad you like it. Unfortunately there are no new presets apart from some by Morte0815 that you can find in this forum. I was going to add them to SVN but forgot all about it.
One of his presets didn't work properly because of a bug in the version of AngelScript I used so I started updating Vortex to use a newer version along with adding on screen display of compilation errors and a few other bug fixes. But I got distracted by some other things that were going on (usually the pub) so I never got it finished. I may take another look at it and try to add some more effects and presets while I am at it. Please feel free to create and contribute your own presets though! Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Hey guys. First post here. When you say Visualizations, are you referring to visualizers for music playback on the XBMC?
