I'd reported my case in elan's blog but seems it would be easier to attach some screenshot.
For XBMC it is common to replace arial.ttf with arial unicode.ttf, in order to gain access to filename in native coding in asian fonts. It works no problem using "real" xbox.
However from Elan built .app, I did the same trick, but it does not work on displaying file named in unicode and also UI in asian font like Chinese/Japanese. Only "square character" displayed. From that I think unicode support was broken within osxbmc.
Screenshot would be available later tonite but seems it is not only asian font issue. From ende (@February 6th, 2008 2:30 pm) reports for spanish UI is not possible as well.
