[RELEASE] hellaXBMC (Plugin for hellaNZB) usenet NZB downloading from the couch

Hi!

I've written a python script for XBMC to work with hellaNZB (http://www.hellanzb.com).
It's for usenet downloading from the couch Smile

Current Features:

-Usenet Searching/Browsing in XBMC
-Queueing in hellaNZB
-Shows hellaNZB Download Status

It's on alpha status at the moment (no config files, so the configuration is a little bit nasty, but can be done in 10 minutes)

If you are interested in this plugin, please mail me.

I did it just for me and now i have no time for developing further. Perhaps someone else can take this job now Smile

Hello chmanie,

I am confused how this feature might work, I haven't installed your script yet, but I am interested in it because I've got a linux box running hellanzb and I would love to be able to tap into it using my XBMC boxes.
But how does it "search" usenet? via newzbin?
Searching usenet is not a function of hellanzb, so I am curious as to how this works.

Yeah you are right thats not a feauture of hellanzb. I made this work via newzbin.

Wait a second, the readme.txt file says:
