I recently installed XBMC for Linux and found that XBMC on my desktop was the perfect place for database and Thumbnail cleanup.

I have set up my sources from scratch on my desktop and recreated the music and video databases. When this was done I transferred UserData\Thumbnails and UserData\Database from my desktop to my xbox.

When this was done, the xbox Movie library loads perfectly (although very slow) with posters for all movies. Some of the posters were added manually while most were found by the imdb scraper. The music library, however, is there, but thumbnails are missing.

The music Thumbnails are generated exclusively by Folder.jpg images in each album folder on my music share.

I'm filing this in the 'general discussion' area as I'm not sure if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong...

When I access my music share in file mode, all the thumbnails are there...

Sounds like the thumbs listed in the db are not the thumbs you transferred over. It's probably storing the direct path rather than the Q: path. You can probably fix easily via sqlitespy or similar.
