Version 1.9 uploaded to the sidebar gallery but for some reason Microsoft are taking longer than usual to authorise it. If you can't wait you can also download it from http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-http-api-a...loads/list
New stuff include support for multiple xbmcs, better play list handling, more powerful key mappings and loads of bugs fixed. Hi Nad,
Could you elaborate on this (or provide a link on how to do it): Quote:Install the gadget in the usual way (you will probably need Admin privileges). cheers, crazyivan |

nad,
I just installed 1.9 (using XBMC Feb 19 2010 SVN:27976) The Now Playing list seems to work now (v 1.7). The main gadget window is not showing a screen shot, just the default film image when playing an MKV file - is this correct? It was doing this same thing with ISO in v1.7, I have not tested ISO yet. ... and thank you for continuing to improve the gadget... it is very handy. I've been using the Send2XBMC (http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tip...ia-center/) if you can add this functionality that would simply rule
I'm not an expert but I play one at work. |

Thanks!
I found that I had to disable my username/password to get it working. Any chance the readme could get updated with the list of config parameters? Is there one to set the username (username didn't seem to work))? cheers, crazyivan

Sorry for the confusion around the zip format - not sure why I did that. (A .gadget file is basically a .zip file.)
Livin: Live screen shots will only display in screen shot mode (ctrl s is the default screenshot toggle mode but look at the Help if you have problems with this). If what you are after is the corresponding icon for the film then this will only be displayed if xbmc has already created one prior to launching the file with the gadget i.e. you will need to have played the fileat least once direct from the xbmc gui. (I'll try to fix this for v2.) How would you want the Send2XBMC functionality to work in the gadget? Perhaps the user copies the url to the clipboard and then initiates the play command through the gadget? CrazyIvan: The config parameters can be found in the Help which can be found in the gadget's Option screen. The one you are looking for is password. I have the password set with "password". I think the problem is that I don't know how to tell the gadget what my xbmc "username" is. Did I guess right that to set the port you just tack it on the end of the ip such as: 192.168.1.10:82 for port 82? cheers, crazyivan |

CrazyIvan: Yep, you can't change the username from the default 'xbmc'. I didn't think anyone used anything apart from 'xbmc'. I'll add that to v2.0.
The gadget only fully supports ports 80 and 8080. I haven't tested with anything apart from those two values. The auto scanning for new xbmcs definitely won't find anything that is not using either 80 or 8080 but the rest of the functionality should/may work. And yes, appending :82 would be the way to specify the port value. Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
