your work is very welcome. but nobody wants to commit shit they cannot test (committing implies maintaining..) none of my puters are amd64 and those which i have access to hardly have gfx cards (servers) and i cannot install libs and shit. same goes for the rest of the guys afaik (or rather, they lack 64 bit linux installs). eventually we will find a solution though so keep pushing

I figured that was the problem, but seeing as you don't officially support 64-bit, there is no need to maintain. Plus, there is really very little to be done after you get the types and compiler flags fixed.

only problem is that decoding h264 on 64bit takes more cpu than on 32bit. i got a lot of dropped frames playing h264 on 64bit, but nearly none with the 32bit build.
