Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I have the following hardware:

MacBook Pro
Ipad Iphone
Matricom G-box
iRule
Playon
Windows Laptop

My end goal is to integrate Directv Now into my Kodi unit, while being able to load the guide and channels in the TV section on the Kodi menu. Here is what I've done so far: setup Playon server on the Windows laptop (sucks there is not a desktop version for mac...) Then, I turned on Udnp and was able to add the Playon browser in Kodi. I can then access the Directv Now video (it's pretty slow) and I have to go through video add-ons to access it.

This is a bit cumbersome (my wife wants an easy to use UI..)

Questions:
1. Is there a way to pull a udnp source to be the backend of the TV menu in Kodi?
2. Playon wants to charge me for shows/movies I record. I'm not into that. How can I set a PVR to record the directv streams according to the guide?
3. Is there a better way to get the video than udnp, and if so, how would I set that up?
4. Is there a way to setup trakt with playon?
